Wake
Don't smile when you come my way
Don't recite me a nursery
Cuz I don't wish to see the sunshine
when I used to believe in faerytales
I'm no longer that kind
i used to believe in faeries and things
that they'd paint the sky blue
that they'd create love in you
I used to believe black faery demons
crept in us sometimes
taking over our lives
Would you rather believe in reality
a conventional actuality
or dwell in fantasy
a cablecar full of dreams
A child may be naive
but they seem happy to me
Don't recite me a nursery
Cuz I don't wish to see the sunshine
when I used to believe in faerytales
I'm no longer that kind
i used to believe in faeries and things
that they'd paint the sky blue
that they'd create love in you
I used to believe black faery demons
crept in us sometimes
taking over our lives
Would you rather believe in reality
a conventional actuality
or dwell in fantasy
a cablecar full of dreams
A child may be naive
but they seem happy to me
