You have a dream but won't no one listen. After being a shoulder to everybody else it's funny how for yours you're still looking. You give your all but you don't have nothing. They say your body bad you could get it with stripping. McDonald's don't pay shit get up out of the kitchen. But you on your own even though you're taken. Nobody sees the tears fall but your pillow catches them all and you are so tired of crying. Your kids say momma what's wrong then you say nothing. They don't see the struggle you are in. You might not have much but you have ambition. You're trying to enroll in school and he's like what are you doing. He came from the bottom and he settling in. But you in it for a victory so you know failure will never be your friend. When the kids hit the bed you are studying while he Facebook surfing. It's about to be a new day your ship is sailing. He don't even see the bridge he is burning. You are so far gone he don't even see the corner you are turning. You're ready to hit the center stage you are chasing your dream with your eyes wide open. You know it ain't where you came from its all about where you are going. He don't want you to come up cause he know there is no room for his position. He on that hotline bling while you are chasing a ring. You know you are a queen and that l jester is only entertaining. So all jokes aside you're looking for a career and a celebration. You want to stand on the stage and say you have made it well today it's in the making.
