So you want to be a vampire...
So, you want to become vampires
To endure centuries of loneliness
To watch your loved ones die
Forsake what life has to offer you
Wanting to be cursed for all time
Foolish Mortals! Imbeciles!
Drags one of you punishingly by the arm
“So you want to see what it is to be a vampire?” “Alright, I’ll show you”
Hears a whimper escape their lips but ignores it
With a smirk of contempt I shift, not making a sound
Hearing them gasp brings a smile to my lips
Frantically they search, eyes opening wide, they start to run
Fangs extending and with lightning speed I pounce
Screams of terror escape their lips, as they struggle in my grasp
Fangs scraping their exposed throat, breathing in their scent
“Do you still want to be a vampire!? Knowing that this will be your last breath on earth
Thirsting for blood for the rest of yours days, the sun taken from your sight. Eternal darkness waits for me at every turn! Is this what you want!?”
Letting them roughly go they fall to their knees sobbing
Turns away in disgust
Immortality is not a game, there are extreme consequences
You think that your life means nothing that you don’t want to die
Do not be so foolish as to think that a vampire’s life is all roses
Watching your loved ones die from afar is torture you cannot even imagine
Thirsting for blood your hunger never being slaked or satisfied
The urge to kill is strong, ripping at your insides until the beast is awakened
Mortality is a gift Immortality a curse
Blood lust is painful beyond imagining, darkness a foe
There is no sun or a breathe of fresh air here
No-one to call your own
Do not live a life of emptiness
Cause there is no going home
Vanishes then whispering into the wind "foolish mortal" as they search frantically in the dark
