Without Me
There's a knot in stomach, tears in my eyes,
Voices in my head repeat those painful empty lies.
'She's better off without you', they whisper to me...
'You hurt her and without you she could finally be happy'
I used to hear those words, only now do I listen...
In those falsehoods I see reality begin to glisten.
I've hurt her before... and I will do again...
Only a matter of time before we reach there and then.
I must face the honest truth,
'Her life will never be perfect, as long as it's infected with you'
"She's better off without me", I now can plainly see...
"I hurt her and without me she can finally be happy"
