Ghost Town
Despite the misty winter mornings
When night falls music plays from across the street
I quietly listen to the soft melody
It seems as though there will never be silence again
Even if I tried to noiselessly follow the sound
I fear that my golden lights would trail
And startle the one who plays the restful song
A mortal’s song awakens the dead to live once again
The forbidding screams are silenced in the end
Let the soothing sound resonate all throughout
The town is now glowing with golden lanterns
As daybreak draws nearer, the fog and haze remain
The chill of winds remind of my past winters
Even now I wish to remember my entire life
When night falls music plays from across the street
I quietly listen to the soft melody
It seems as though there will never be silence again
Even if I tried to noiselessly follow the sound
I fear that my golden lights would trail
And startle the one who plays the restful song
A mortal’s song awakens the dead to live once again
The forbidding screams are silenced in the end
Let the soothing sound resonate all throughout
The town is now glowing with golden lanterns
As daybreak draws nearer, the fog and haze remain
The chill of winds remind of my past winters
Even now I wish to remember my entire life
