Your world

You tell me that you love me,
Yet the way you look at her says different.
You tell me that I'm special,
Yet you treat me like I'm ordinary.
You tell me that I'm your world,
Yet you act like I don't exist.
You tell me that you care,
Yet you're never around when I need you
You must live in a world,
Where words mean nothing
Where promises are meant to be broken
Where love is just in words
Where care is nothing more than a pat on the shoulder
Where the heart and soul are merely parts of a person that mean nothing.
I can't live in your world, it's full of pain
And I think you like it like that.
I want love to be in action as much as it is in words, in the little things that are done.
I want promises to be kept
I want you to show me that you care by always being there
I want my heart and soul to be what you treasure most in me.
I want to be happy,
But you're my endless pain,
You're my agony.
How I await the day, when I'll look at you and feel nothing but peace
Because I discovered that I could live without you.
Oh, how I wait for it.
Until that day comes
I'll live in this loveless, painful world.
