I made her a promise
that I could find her
anywhere.
she made me promise
to look for her
everywhere.
but time was killing us.
she died unfound
and I cried because
I lost,
everything.

I could not hide from the grief.

The first stanza sounds so like the promises we make when in love. Always above the stars, and something we can't possibly know we can't reach.
