let no one see
the deep, dark shadows
that encompass me

great write, harlie. you're comfortable in your darkness, & prefer it to the day's brightness. sad when you send him away, but so it must be.

I agree that the light and dark can't abide each other. Perhaps they don't make one another entirely invisible, but certainly much diminished...and yet...they can't exist without the other either. For, what is darkness without light? And what is light, without darkness to compare?

Dusk leads to the finest shadow narratives. But sparkly? Glitter distracts and detracts from a good story.
