Let It Go
When I woke up
This morning the
Bitterness was gone
Faded like a bad dream
You left me, true, and
I am still alone but
In the stillness of the night
Serenity crept in and now
My soul shines bright
As a copper penny
I would still call you back
If fate ever brought me
The choice but I think
For now I am meant
To be alone
To bury my hopes and
Fears and replace them
With lovely dreams
I still hear your voice
In the night but
You no longer call to me
And I no longer hold
The lantern light to
Guide you home
You are gone forever
And I am at peace with that
This morning the
Bitterness was gone
Faded like a bad dream
You left me, true, and
I am still alone but
In the stillness of the night
Serenity crept in and now
My soul shines bright
As a copper penny
I would still call you back
If fate ever brought me
The choice but I think
For now I am meant
To be alone
To bury my hopes and
Fears and replace them
With lovely dreams
I still hear your voice
In the night but
You no longer call to me
And I no longer hold
The lantern light to
Guide you home
You are gone forever
And I am at peace with that
