The First I Love You
Down stairs still not ready to say goodnight.
Spinning around, laughing, and whispering.
Thinking of telling you how I really felt.
Scared you wouldn't feel the same.
Knowing you haven't felt anything for anybody before.
Laughing at your joke...
"I love you"
The words slipped out of my mouth like a bar of soap when in the shower.
Surprisingly you kept asking me to repeat what I said..
I felt the blood rising through my face,
When all of a sudden
"Te amo"
I felt my heart in my stomach with flutters all around.
Feeling strange, like a baby feeling tickles for the first time.
Until that night when you first told me how you truely felt,
My heart knew that was the start of a wonderful story.
One that will never end!!

Awwww! It's how the first declaration of love should be, sweet and beautiful. No matter the fear, when it's ready to come out it just does, and to have it reciprocated is a true joy! :) Made me smile to read.
