Languorous shimmering days
Drag sweat across the skin
The touch of your hand
Makes me slick

Waves rise from our bodies
As heat shimmers in the air
Together we draw in labored breaths
As we are covered in dew

The mercury rises as
We become a tangle of limbs
Fluids meshing between us
As we ride out the wave

We are puddles of wax
As we slide apart
Panting as the sun keeps
Its relentless chase
