Moving Me Closer
Baby, you’re moving me closer
Baby, you’re holding me over a cliff
I know you’re looking for closure
But by the end of the night you feel alone
So by the end of this night we’ll agree to atone
Why are you numbing the pain
of the life that we’ve gained
You’re moving me closer
Why are you calling my name
this is starting to feel like a game
I’m looking for closure
There are no tears in the rain
only scars for the pain
That are seeking enclosure
Baby, you’re always the same
yet I fight to reclaim
This life that is over
Baby, my heart’s growing colder
Baby, I’m rolling to get through the rest of the day
The Devil’s over my shoulder
He’s telling me everything you refused to say
That “you’re the color of days when the skies have turned gray”
The reason why I smoke loud
I’m trying to get out
My heart’s growing colder
The reason why that I sin
is because of the days when
The Devil’s over my shoulder
So when I jump off this cliff
I know that I’ll live
Through the days you grow older
I’m not ready to die
for this life that’s a lie
We know this is over
Baby, you’re holding me over a cliff
I know you’re looking for closure
But by the end of the night you feel alone
So by the end of this night we’ll agree to atone
Why are you numbing the pain
of the life that we’ve gained
You’re moving me closer
Why are you calling my name
this is starting to feel like a game
I’m looking for closure
There are no tears in the rain
only scars for the pain
That are seeking enclosure
Baby, you’re always the same
yet I fight to reclaim
This life that is over
Baby, my heart’s growing colder
Baby, I’m rolling to get through the rest of the day
The Devil’s over my shoulder
He’s telling me everything you refused to say
That “you’re the color of days when the skies have turned gray”
The reason why I smoke loud
I’m trying to get out
My heart’s growing colder
The reason why that I sin
is because of the days when
The Devil’s over my shoulder
So when I jump off this cliff
I know that I’ll live
Through the days you grow older
I’m not ready to die
for this life that’s a lie
We know this is over
