For Life
The way you call me honey
So unlike the sweetness i spread on my toast every morning
Draws me in
I hear your deep voice like I do that song I once loved
I know every note
Every chord
Always
You look at me with desire overpopulating your pupil
Until I do not see the colour in your eye at all
I swear I can see you
I can see the you
That you hide behind experimental makeup
And the layers you pack on
Its funny really
That I have spent nights studying your face
So that it is in my mind forever
But I swear to you
The second you look at me
I see nothing that I studied
I am familiar with addictions of many sorts
But no substance could consume me the way that you do
You've got me for life
So unlike the sweetness i spread on my toast every morning
Draws me in
I hear your deep voice like I do that song I once loved
I know every note
Every chord
Always
You look at me with desire overpopulating your pupil
Until I do not see the colour in your eye at all
I swear I can see you
I can see the you
That you hide behind experimental makeup
And the layers you pack on
Its funny really
That I have spent nights studying your face
So that it is in my mind forever
But I swear to you
The second you look at me
I see nothing that I studied
I am familiar with addictions of many sorts
But no substance could consume me the way that you do
You've got me for life
