Through The Eyes of The Dead : The Last Temptation
The midnight breeze carries her song
Across the journey, oh so long
When the dead cross over the river
To right the wrongs she must deliver
Her beauty is only ever seen
Through the eyes of the dying and deceased
There can be no redemption there for me
My last temptation is to gaze
To see her one more time at least
Seal me inside...
The gorgon tomb, my eternal rest
Where, finally, I'll draw my last breath
I will hear the siren's sweet singing
In the darkness, why am I grieving?
Her beauty is only ever seen
Through the eyes of the insane and diseased
There can be no redemption there for me
My last temptation is to gaze
To see her one more time at least
Her mascara is painted black
The porcelain facade begins to crack
Raven hair with liquid grace
Flowing with the drowning waters
Shut me out...
Like a vagabond in frigid cold
The bonds between us are growing mold
Her song travels on the wings of raven
I sold my soul for her sweet haven
For her embrace...
Her beauty is only ever seen
Through the eyes of heartbreak and grieving
There can be no redemption there for me
My last temptation is to gaze
To see her one more time at least
She is the balance
Between life and death
I'll sing her song
Until my last breath
Her beauty is only ever seen
Through the eyes of the dying and deceased
There can be no redemption there for me
My last temptation is to gaze
To see her one more time at least
