IF ONLY

If only I knew my affectionate words could mean so much to you
I could have written a book of love with every line idolizing you
I should have been telling you how beautiful you are at every single hour
If only I knew what Roses meant to you; I’ll always send you bouquet of flowers
Feeling blessed, let the world know; you made my world turn sweet from sour

Your body; the quintessence of beauty my mortal eyes has ever seen
If only I never failed to treat you royal as deserving of an adorable queen
I should have known better, when you are in love it’s no crime to act like a fool”
You don't know what you've got till it's gone” a lesson never taught in school

Now my heart is overwhelmed with regrets for the things I couldn’t do
If only I was remorseful, saying I was sorry for every pain I put you through
The words I never said; how could I have been so selfish with the truth?
If only I can turn back the hands of time; my love for you I’ll gladly prove

All the tender touch your sexy body deserved &kisses that made you smile
How could I have dwelled in such ignorance of not making it worthwhile?
You never asked for too much; my time and heart was all you needed
All my love you craved for but to your warm desires I never heeded

Was I stoned hearted or was I blind to the facts and just acting numb?
How did I let you slip away? Look how miserable my life has become!
If only I listened to your alluring voice making the simplest of demand
I only I swallowed my pride; your wishes would have been my command
If only I never erred; I would never have learnt a lesson or two
If only I can eat my cake and have it” I will still be with no one else but you.
