Let’s see. Three police patrols

Let’s see. Three police patrols; One SUV type, one sedan, probably a later Crown Vic, and the other a Ford pick-up truck. Lots of lights, a German Shepherd or some sort of police/military working dog; could be fierce if provoked or at the appropriate word from its handler. All bets are off if let off of the leash. Inside the patrols there is an arsenal of semi-automatic A4’s with the requisite 5.56 ammunition. For now though, the police are safe enough with their Beretta 9 mm semi-automatic sidearms. Rainy and a bit blustery cold mid spring late night in and around, I will guess, Taftville, Connecticut. Parking lot pavement still worn from the recent harsh winter, and will probably be either re-paved this summer or at least the white lines will be repainted. It would be good to get rid of the oil slicks of twenty plus years of parking though, with a full revamp. Inthe safety of the convenience store, you snapped the picture of the almost tragic. What looks like the roof or ceiling of a movie set outside, is actually the reflection of the inside of the store off of the pane glass store front; you had the flash mode set on the camera or cell phone. You were safe. The door was locked when you heard the first shot fired. You had comms to your home and to the dispatcher if necessary.  There were no growls, no howls. After what was about two hours, a police officer knocked on the pane glass storefront. You unlocked the door and he said, “All is well Ms. Mags, all is safe. You can close up and head home. Have a nice evening, and thanks for being attentive. We apprehended him in the dark.”
