The Mortal Gift

Beautiful death,
It has been hated for centuries.
Cursing its fate
Humanity has tried to avoid it,
Excuse it,
Pretend we don't have to do it,
But we must do it.

And for that,
I'm
Grateful,
Glad,
Thankful.
For the dead cannot,
Hear,
See,
Feel.
(All of humanities curses)

In short,
The dead do not have to live
And I envy them that.
