The Phony
Thunder arose
As the rain fell harder
A nightmare started to brew
No more remorse for it was too late
Your soul was already doomed
Growing weary from climbing up stairs
They seemed to never end
I reached double doors to a room filled with enemies
That used to be my friends
You just sat there amongst them and laughed
I was sick to my stomach for ever loving your whole
When a storm comes phonies are quick to turn their backs
Nostalgia of all the purity you stole
I could then feel my blood conjuring to a boil
Wondering how the world I trusted became this turmoil?
It was unforeseen how I wanted to kill
Revenge burning deep inside
Thrashing a sudden desire for free will
It was written an eye for an eye...
