Dawn Comes After Death
Crimson trails
Carved down my heart,
the pain has faded
my life can start
A muffled thud
I hit the floor
My breath is still
Forever more
The chains are gone
That held me back
My life is slipping
Through the cracks
A darkened pit
That lulls me in
Like a pleasant dream
About to begin
My time is done
And now I'm gone,
But with it comes
A brighter dawn.
Carved down my heart,
the pain has faded
my life can start
A muffled thud
I hit the floor
My breath is still
Forever more
The chains are gone
That held me back
My life is slipping
Through the cracks
A darkened pit
That lulls me in
Like a pleasant dream
About to begin
My time is done
And now I'm gone,
But with it comes
A brighter dawn.
