The Darkest Part of Love
The darkest part of love I fear is not the bitter end.
It's all the insecurities and love he doesn't send.
Does he really care enough to give his heart to me?
Am I just a second thought?
Were we meant to be?
And in the end will he choose to share his life once more?
Or will he turn his back on me and walk right out the door?
My friends tell me I'm just a pawn in his twisted little game.
They're the ones who see my cry, so they are not to blame.
The darkest part of love I see is not when it is gone.
It's holding onto something just to find out you were wrong.
