The Firefly

 Whizzing whirling hurling,

Firefly weaves his tango of light,

Buzzing flitting clicking,

He proudly boasts within the night,

Sun slinks down sky,

Moon trembles forth,

Dawns the dance of the firefly...

Spinning turning burning,

Firefly trails his blaze so bright,

Fizzing, hissing, alluring,

He coaxes his mistress of the night,

Sun now just a murmur,

Moon is high in court,

As he dances still some more...

Enthralled, enchanted, romanced,

His mistress chases trail,

Whistling, wooing, tooing and froing,

She finds him in the pale,

Of silken gleam of moon,

The sun has waned,

As the firefly feels a swoon...
