Image for the poem Flash Pan

Flash Pan

One ephemeral moment.

One ardent gaze.

Enough to stir my primal urges within.

Conversation ripe with truth

Drenched in flirtation

My body readies with the mere thought.

My heart knows you

Kindred souls

Wild spirits.

Your smile torments

My breath shallow and ragged

Jesus, just kiss me!

Just like that,

You're gone.

Before it ever started.
