Image for the poem MY BUIBUI MY HONOUR

MY BUIBUI MY HONOUR

The body of a woman is an Altar
Beautiful,holy,divine
consecrated, anointed and reserved for the ordained.

What could express that better that my buibui
hanging loose on my wondrous curvy body
head to toe my honour is preserved from the lot.

FOOTNOTE

Buibui is a robe,a shawl or rather a long outer covering worn by women of Islam faith especially at the East Africa coastal region(and of course in many nations round the world)initially and mostly black, but now comes in different fashions, shades, colors and designs to fit the need of our women whether its for everyday casual wear, for the red carpet, work, social events such as weddings or simply to express herself or send a statement.
