On the Twelfth Day of Christmas
Twas the twelfth day of Christmas
A day I wanted to live like my last
Mirth all over, so crazy a bash
Rich fellows making do with their cash
Twas a day that will be crafted in my sands of time
Ambience fair, everybody looking fine
No cause to worry if I had no dime
A day fair and with milady Fairskin I would dine
Twas the first of its kind
And I wanted to blow her mind
Away with lovely words from a heart mine
To let her know how much I needed her to be mine
She wore her best clothes
She looked so dashing from head to toes
We walked, arm in arm, close
Headed to a place where joy was never hidden but exposed
Love ain't a fairytale but this was going to be
We arrived at "the place" and she was still clinging to me
Amazed by the city lights that decorated the night she was
We were directed to our reserved seats as we walked down the hall
A table for two
Just for me and milady, fair and cool
We talked on memories we held most dear
Chatted with that Christmas spirit, yeah, with that Christmas cheer
Her star-filled eyes never left mine
Her face radiant with a perfect smile
Her scarlet lips like those of lush rose petals
Her ears and neck adorned with pearls
The music played and we arose
We took positions and let our bodies flow
To the rhythm and in harmony like two turtle doves
And together danced the world away.
