The Einstein About It

She entered the room
And followed her birthly caul
Mysterious was she
Yearning was I, in all

My heartbeat like a march
Employed me, like giving orders
To stand then retreat
And then stand with taut shoulders

We spoke idiomatic English, when we did
Like a high-functioning schizophrenic
I painted us together in my mind
And she was no Different

All of the walls became mirrors
Our faith present and divinity not odd
The Einstein about it was that
Neither of us really believed in god
