I WISH THERE WAS “US”

I WISH THERE WAS “US”
I wish I could write a poem about you & I been a perfect pair
But there are no sweet memories between us to recount or share

I wish you were that one and only adorable girl in my world
Nothing would ever take your place not even diamonds & pearls

I wish you were more understanding and cool with your temper
I swear to reciprocate it a thousand fold with unmatched tender

I wish you had known me intimately better than you presently do
Our hearts beats miles away but mine leaps in joy thinking of you

I wish we could recognise our flaws and admit we are all fallible
If love is genuine there’s no such thing as ugly” we’re so beautiful

I wish you could be more truthful to your emotions without restrain
What’s the use of denying yourself joy when you can’t live with pain?

I wish you could see beyond your façade, pride is not a virtue to befriend
I wish you could read my mind then you will realize I care, I can’t pretend

I once saw the moon kiss a star and I never stopped wishing it could be you & I
A sage once told me everything is possible only to those who ain’t scared to try

These lines are emotions deeply felt beyond that which can be suppressed
Read my thoughts from an open heart letter as affectionately expressed

Take a look at the picture it paints in your heart isn’t it sweet & enchanting
Imagine me & you kissing, smiling and making love” instead of some ranting

Imagine the bliss with your eyes closed while I thrust my fingers through your hair
With intense passion biting your lips softly whispering sweet words in your ears

Heaven on earth we can make together; we can start a bond that lasts forever
But living happily hereafter is a story best imagined coz we’ve never been together
