coarse
so now what we have
is a failure to complete
that fairy tale love story
because a heart was weak
this tale that i will weave you
it is intense
and it is coarse
this tale that i will weave you
ends with no remorse
it started with a princess
and a peasant, how absurd
the princess was caged in his hands
singing softly like a bird
she felt the need to fly again
she ached, oh, to be free
love had once befallen them
but now his heart was weak
he mingled low with jealousy
his fear his trusty steed
and even though she meant her words
he never could take heed
and soon she met another
beneath the fall of night
she didn't love him
didn't need him
but she craved the flight
and soon the peasant caught them
the princess and the dragon
she had become his treasured hoard
his feelings growing lavish
the peasant gave one silent cry
he knew he could not fight
he lost his princess and himself
in that coarse lonely night
the princess was again restless
her wings, sure to be clipped
by the fickle, mangled dragons heart
sanity dripping from his lips
his mind had become centered
on only having her
but the princess needed to fly again
her motions undeterred
she fought off the dragon
hiding shallow in the mist
she had won her freedom
if freedom did exist
there in the underbrush
awaiting the ladies' breath
a knight had seen her gallant fight
things that he could not forget
the knight, a weary traveler
took this lady to his breast
carried her to a resting place
when she awoke, she wept
her weeping flustered the knight
he knew not of her troubles
he plied her with jewels and dresses
and her cries were surely muffled
he filled her head with stories
for he had traveled wide
she knew not what he buried
a creature deep inside
many moons they lay together
the story seemed it was mending
but the creature lurking deep within
heard the signals they were sending
the knight could fight him no more
he allowed the beast his freedom
the drink became his lover
and the princess, his creature
from fairy tales
to frightful nights
the princess' love had turned
if he was even there to touch her
she felt scarred, she felt burned
she had given him her life
she had thought he was the one
but he drank more
and came home less
their love was left unsung
finally she had enough
of trying to mold and change him
she fought for freedom once again
and he fought to restrain her
suddenly his love became the only thing in sight
his jealousy became the fuel
to a tumultuous fire
many days, he haunted her
hunting her like big game
she chose a different route instead
to participate and entertain
the knight said
one more chance love
i'll carry you to the end
your heart will be my treasure
my castle to defend
i know my love seemed flightly
but i promise on this day
that i will love you like no other
and things will never be the same
the princess took a moment
from her window she projected
i'll show him how it feels to be alone
to be neglected
i'll bury him in my own hole
that i've created with my wiles
and then i will be free from him
free from this hellish mire
once again with gems and jewels
the knight was unyielding
i've almost finished this quest, he said
and our love will be reeling
but while he was away
the princess laid alone
she went out into the courtyard
and met a wild soul
that carried her into his home
and made her love his own
she returned to the knight's lair
he screamed, lo, he shouted
you lied to me wicked maiden
your wiles now recount them
she laughed loudly at the drunken knight
saying i smell her on your breath
you lied to me, fececious knight
you couldnt help yourself
you drank away our love
long before my new transgressions
i had given everything
and you could not accept it
the princess ran from his lair
into the woods again, so coarse
