Fini - Opheliac's Challenge

Slipped by cancer,
orphan child, run -
and hide, rubbery protection.

Maternal croaks of 'Love.'
'tween vomit, only
she-Devil could speak.

Such sweat and blood
for five months,
no child should plan for a boy.

'Shame.' wept Florence,
'By and By' lulled Hamburg
and 'Hollow.' sighed quaint, English town.

Yet doubled over, shadowed delusions
whisper 'Was it mine or fraudulent belly
or mother's unfortunate, twisted spine?'
