SUPERWOMAN
They never belonged to me, but I never knew that I could possess the key to unlock your thoughts, as I opened the door to your mind, I started to rewind your life and see the good and the bad, the happy and the sad, I reached back deep as if to throw a straight fastball over home plate, hoping you would hit and drive in the winning run to home base, see I wanted to throw the game all for you, just to see you get a win, but you decided to strike out, so another one of your teammates wouldn't have too, and I sat back thinking why......why does it seem impossible, why must everything be a tug of war, why must I feel the brunt of emotions, why does a simple notion feel like a crucifix, when no one is offering their maximum healing to heal you as much as you heal them, see the red cape is misleading, how will it be replaced when it is torn and ragged, the S on your chest isn't invincible, it just makes me feel invisible sometimes, black woman, I don't need you to play Clark Kent on some dyke shit, I need you to play your part, be that comforter, but know when and when not to share your blanket
