'Reverse Racism'

Reverse Racism does not
 exist!
 White people
 have not suffered
 the deportation
 and indentured slavery
 of Africans
 shipped to the Caribbean
 or Americas
 the fear of being killed
 for the crime
 of being black
 the KKK
 the biblical justifications
 for their oppression.
 it is not 'P.C.'
 to remind you
 that you have
 privilege
 as I do
 from your white skin
 that you can behave
 how others cannot
 that your skin colour
 has the social
 history
 of being oppressor
 to those with other
 coloured skin
 of course
 complicated by
 class and gender
 and more.
 It is a liberal
 equation
 to say that
 anger against white people is racism
 and not understand black history
 it is a liberal lie to
 think that mistreatment of men
 has any comparison
 to mistreatment of women
 oppression as old as time
 while  white rich men
 ride on top
 of the all conquering empire.
 If you cannot
 see this is a false
 equivalence
 that history is important
 that racism is only racism when backed by power
 that "kill whitey" or "kill all men"
 are reactions to a world ruled by whites  ruled by  men
 ruled by rich white men.The same logic tells us
 feminism should be called Humanism
 and that rich and poor should just get along
 in love and harmony
 the same logic
 wilfully
 lovingly
 blindly
 ignores
 systematic
 institutional
 oppression
 in favour of a 1 for 1
 level playing field
 analysis
 that burns the history books
 that does not 'get' privilege
 and so
 only serves to show
 its own
 ignorance.



My thoughts:- The oppression of people of colour is not equal to mistreatment of white people historically or in terms of how society is organised by which I mean the existence of white supremacy and white dominance. Similarly mistreatment of men can in no way be likened to sexism/misogyny against women who are oppressed by systematic and institutional sexism i.e. what is called Patriarchy. it is not 1 for 1.Whiteness is the norm and is backed by power. Non whiteness is not. Being male is considered superior by power and backed by power. Being female is not. It is not just about humans. While all lives matter and we are all human beings to ignore the way oppression has been formed and has operated/operates systematically institutionally and historically is to fail to understand the problem and fails to understand the existence of privilege i.e. that by being white or by being male you gain privilege and have advantages over those who are not male or not white.
