Tensed

On the hot seat I was at the
moment
hands trembling, eyes blinking
beyond reflex
sweat glands working industriously
with the demand that came with
the adrenaline rush.
The clock was ticking
I was thinking
neurons moving fast with great
fluidity
yet, accessing the Intel I craved for
proved futile
for at my memory gate stood
sentinels that issued no permit.
Tick-tock, tick-tock
the sound came again
my heart palpitating
my hands shaking
laps pressed hard against each
other
hoping my organs won't let out
fluid
Gosh! The ambience turned
against me
my epidermal pores gave way for
increased salty excretion
yet, I couldn't proffer a solution to
the problem
Submit!
the sound hit hard like a
thunderbolt
stood I up and did submit
wondering, hoping
what would it be? I asked myself
never knew deriving formulas was
such turmoil.
