walk alone
Standing still and silent
I walk alone cold and barefoot
Traveling a road of razor rocks and rattle snakes
Nothing to cover my naked skin from the sharp winds.
Grasping my arms for warmth
Deep breaths and little sobbing along the way.
The sky dims as I'm in search on my way back home.
No one to keep me company but a blanket of stars and earth beneath my feet.
