Let Yourself Fall
six moons
and I do not miss you any less
The wind rattles my bones
in rhythm of my quivering
chin
I know you aren't staying long
but there is something I want
you to know
That when we were
standing together on that rock
600 feet above
that stream
i take a glance at you
And saw fear creep
into you those mahogany eyes,;
you were scared of the fall
And I told you
"its not that scary"
you looked at me
as if i'm crazy.
I said to you
"just close your eyes until
you forget how far down it is,
keep them closed and just-
let yourself fall"
I want you to know
that
when I finally jumped into you,
i let myself fall in much the same way.
Baby, I was once scared of heights,
too
and I do not miss you any less
The wind rattles my bones
in rhythm of my quivering
chin
I know you aren't staying long
but there is something I want
you to know
That when we were
standing together on that rock
600 feet above
that stream
i take a glance at you
And saw fear creep
into you those mahogany eyes,;
you were scared of the fall
And I told you
"its not that scary"
you looked at me
as if i'm crazy.
I said to you
"just close your eyes until
you forget how far down it is,
keep them closed and just-
let yourself fall"
I want you to know
that
when I finally jumped into you,
i let myself fall in much the same way.
Baby, I was once scared of heights,
too
