Image for the poem Prayers

Prayers

I took with me a silent prayer
had him lead me away
lead the way
my hand inside his
staking a claim
owned anew
reborn
stripped bare
handing over my
wants
needs
desires
to his loving touches.
till my body I gave
freely craving
unrestrained
seductive abandonment
to forsake all others past
true love's happy union
we joined our own collective urges
till too vocal with our peaking moments,
my silent prayers answered
loud and clear
echoing off the walls.
