Blank
My facade in tatters, my cover blown.
I tried to find my identity, but the bird has flown…
The mask I’ve fought so hard to protect,
Has been crushed by the reality, I’ve had to accept…
Conquest lies beyond the horizon…
Challenge it because you know you can’t reach it.
Beware of the people you tell you, ‘believe’
They are your enemy, the devil you can’t see…
My mind is empty, like my heart and soul,
My life’s missing so much, I can’t fill in its holes.
It’s strange phenomenon, I can’t figure out.
But I guess some things are better a mystery, aren’t they?
When I found out the solution, it shocked me
It’s nameless, it’s blank, it’s nothing!
How was this what I wanted in life??
This was not the answer to my questions…
Then, what was life without problems?
What was a human without flaws?
What was a secret that was always shared?
Maybe the answer was nothing…
Was it God’s way of telling me my life was perfect?
A life full of perfect imperfections.
