You Forgot About Me

There I lay, comfortably on my broken bed, waiting for your return.
My dear, where are you?
Without you, I've become a vexed void.
Pessimism gripped onto an endless eternity.
I honestly hate having you in my mind.
You don't take notice of my silent screams.

There I sat, looking out at the dreamy daylight.
My dear, where are you?
I feel brutally betrayed,
by the scathing and scarring promises not kept.
But you don't care, for it was all contrived.
And I don't care, for it was all a craving.

There I lay, screaming in the sheets, waiting for your return.
My dear, where are you?
Torturous taunts echoing in my head.
I want to believe, that I made no mistake.
Even so, despite of the arduous night,
I still await you, to return into my sight.

There I sat, looking out at the distorted delusion.
My dear, where are you?
The bitterness and betrayal consumes my soul.
And yet, the sunlight still resumes.
Even so, despite of the cruel day,
I continue to wait and be led astray.

My dear, where are you?
I can't construe.
I am numb.
I am nothing.
I am nobody.
If only you could see, for it was all because......

You Forgot About Me.
