Reddened metal
Digging into ivory flesh
Beautiful red paint
Exploding against a canvas of pale
The confusion
Feeling lost
Overwhelmed
Insane
The deep chaos gives way to
Relief
Calm
Awful
Monstrous
Guilt
Putting the blade into the box
Under the bed
Until next time
It will wait
Calling to you
For you to go a little deeper
To have all the paint spill onto the canvas
Dripping off
Pooling on the floorboards
Sinking into carpets
The stain that never leaves
But that's not now
Now you most go fake
Smiles
Interest
Happiness
