Heartless
It was non-violence
that hurt me.
Cold silence
that burned me.
You fed on my
weakness
and my life fell
apart.
I begged you
and pleaded.
No please, just
don't start.
You sat there
just watched.
The beatings,
no stops.
My anguish
amused you.
My blood it
enthused you.
You'd silently gaze
as I screamed there
in pain.
Your presence
entrapped me
as I searched for
escape.
The bruises
were nothing.
Your laughter
was death.
My heart was
in pieces
when I watched as
you left.
Alone and in pain
my eyes filled
with shame.
As you walked out
I knew I'd
never see you
again...
that hurt me.
Cold silence
that burned me.
You fed on my
weakness
and my life fell
apart.
I begged you
and pleaded.
No please, just
don't start.
You sat there
just watched.
The beatings,
no stops.
My anguish
amused you.
My blood it
enthused you.
You'd silently gaze
as I screamed there
in pain.
Your presence
entrapped me
as I searched for
escape.
The bruises
were nothing.
Your laughter
was death.
My heart was
in pieces
when I watched as
you left.
Alone and in pain
my eyes filled
with shame.
As you walked out
I knew I'd
never see you
again...
