WRIGHTING

First we learn to write by print
And drawings
Then we make words
On to sentences, questions,
 And punctuations
On to cursive. It gets drilled
Into write don’t print
            Redo
First you’re born
Then as you’re learning to scribble,
Draw and write letters to numbers,
You write your name, mom and dad,
Dog, cat and draw your house.
From that you do sentences,
Questions, all in print
Then you learn “cursive”
A whole knew world
You can no longer print
Its all cursive

Last half of elementary to jr. high
Then the time you did, on that “cursive”
Goes out the window
For all you do is PRINT!
