Cigarette Love
I am your cigarette baby.
You crave me so deeply, so strongly,
Feeling as though you couldn’t live without having me.
Stepping into secrecy.
I am ignited.
Inhaling me, it takes you back to that first time.
An instant addiction.
I envelop you.
Everything else, so easily forgotten.
Exhaling there is a moment of pure release.
Looking down at your hands,
I have burned out,
Given all that I had to you.
I am thrown to the cold, hard ground.
Crushed as you step on me,
And then you walk away.
Not giving em another thought…
…until you crave me again.
Repeat.
You crave me so deeply, so strongly,
Feeling as though you couldn’t live without having me.
Stepping into secrecy.
I am ignited.
Inhaling me, it takes you back to that first time.
An instant addiction.
I envelop you.
Everything else, so easily forgotten.
Exhaling there is a moment of pure release.
Looking down at your hands,
I have burned out,
Given all that I had to you.
I am thrown to the cold, hard ground.
Crushed as you step on me,
And then you walk away.
Not giving em another thought…
…until you crave me again.
Repeat.
