I know, JeJe. It's good to have you near, though... I wish you far away from those feelings. Thanks, dear.

You pictured it exactly, John. Old photographs radiate a certain dignity despite or just because of their apparent caducity. Thanks for reading me, John.

I love sepia! This is a poignant piece sad that it ended and yet happy to have that one remembrance. Brava Miss Chi!

You never know where memories end and the present begins ... since the treshold is blurred, all the more in sepia. Glad you like it, Gahddess_Worship.

The sepia tones have become just memories, there are no photographs, there was never 'us', when one is sentimental and the other one was just after self fulfilling prophecy.
it becomes a frame without a photograph!
Thank you Ms. Chi for saying it so eloquently xo

And thank you, Rina, for rephrasing the poem so beautifully. A frame without a photograph, like that a lot ... Leaves so much space for interpretation. xo

I love the tone of Sepia..! Enkidu wisdom caught in a Roman wind and now off again to a new age beauty; nicely penned I love it.. :)

Thank you, Malin. Glad you stopped by and commented on my senryu. For me sepia resembles faded memories, faded love and passion. Something done but not completly gone. When processing my photos I often use sepia tones to create a melancholic atmosphere.

Miss Chi,
Sometimes these shaded memories of our past are needed to remind us of the brightness of our future : ) hope your darkness fades quickly!

Thank you so much for your heartwarming words, tornado. You are so right. There'd be no light without shadow, no day without night. It's not real darkness what overcame me. It's - well ... only melancholic sepia :-).
