Going To A Place Where I Belong

I told you how I feel,
You told me to leave...
I will never heal.

I told you 'Here's my heart,'
You threw it on the ground.
You tore my soul apart.

I told you that I would leave,
You told me to stay.
I left you to grieve.

I told you I cried tears of blood,
You said you hoped I'd die.
I fall to the ground with a thud.

I told you I was going to die,
You told me to please stop.
I left without saying why.

I'd tell you how the blood ran to the floor,
You might've told me to stop.
But that's okay, I don't feel anymore.

I'd tell you how the pain and depression vanished,
You'd say I had hurt you too much.
And now to Hell I am banished.

I'd tell you that Hell doesn't burn,
But you're not here with me.
And now for eternity I'll yearn...

I'd tell you I've gone to a place where I belong,
You'd say you think I hate you.
You're wrong.

I'd say my salvation was found in time,
You'd say you wouldn't care.
But I don't listen to you anymore as I begin my hard-earned climb.

I'd tell you about my angel of beauty and song,
But I don't think of you anymore.
The past has been righted, I've forgotten all wrong.
