Crawling

Crawling, lingering
Holding on to what if left of life
Crawling, asphyxiating
Choking on pained words that will not come out
Crawling, bleeding
Oozing out from the remaining half-torso
Crawling, putrefying
A pestilent stench poisons the air
Crawling, flaying
The skin merely lingers onto the bones
Crawling, fading
Consciousness slowly slips away
Crawling, dying
And with death - finally brings release.
