Hypocritical
There once was a young adult,
Innocent as could be-
Until he started puffing heavily on the THC tree.
This new activity filled up the dregs of his minuscule spare time,
He felt at ease participating-
Even though it was a crime.
He would even disregard his loving girlfriend to smoke,
And it didn't take long for his new hobby to make him broke.
But, every dollar he came across went to the pot,
His girl even gave a demeaning confrontation a shot.
"You need to stop this instant and get your priorities straight,
You just replenished your stash, but the rent is still late."
He said, "girl I don't know what you want me to say,
I'm trying to work this out, but you're standing in my way."
She replied, "boy that's all I needed to hear,
I'm out of your way now-
I'll be steering clear."
Next thing he knew,
He hadn't seen her in a year-
But, out of the blue,
She suddenly reappeared.
She was trapped in a body he didn't recognize,
And was deep into cocaine-
He could tell by her eyes.
His mind went blank, he couldn't hear any type of sound-
The girl he used to love was off the white,
A drug they don't sell by the pound.
