Colors of the Night (co write with Lily Mae)
With box of crayola markers
he writes poetry over every inch of her
naked body
Then makes love to her until most of the
marker has washed away from the sweat
Afterward, a shower together to remove the rest...
Only to dry off and write more poetry
repeating each step above until the markers are
worn out and will no longer write...
~*~
Disappointed that the markers were dry
and their night was not
she took her fingers and told him
that they were her invisible markers
her lips...the cap that kept them moist
Taking her time writing her own
poetry along his body, methodically
creating on his hard masterpiece
not wanting to miss one spot...
She pierces her lips too gently blow him dry
A poet's canvas...painted well into
the night
revisions were made...crossing the T's
and dotting the eyes...
They loved the colors of the invisible
ink...reading into each one a new
breath of life...
some were flavored...savory nights
The taste still lingers...
