A Loveless Cycle
A heart doesn't blacken
Kind words don’t heal souls
The past is a vast lot of nothing
With fake memories and selective hearing
A story book with pages missing
The prince and princess kissing
Forever here wondering if this is just the beginning
Love does not die, it commits suicide
Taking your self-respect and social life
Hostile until the end
The embers burn the next man’s hands
Face it. Actually look out those eyes. You get bored
Of hearing those same old lies. To see the same routine
Not wanting to believe they’re bluffing
Here comes the honest truth
I’d go through it all again
Just like every other would
Because I can’t give up
But I know I should
Kind words don’t heal souls
The past is a vast lot of nothing
With fake memories and selective hearing
A story book with pages missing
The prince and princess kissing
Forever here wondering if this is just the beginning
Love does not die, it commits suicide
Taking your self-respect and social life
Hostile until the end
The embers burn the next man’s hands
Face it. Actually look out those eyes. You get bored
Of hearing those same old lies. To see the same routine
Not wanting to believe they’re bluffing
Here comes the honest truth
I’d go through it all again
Just like every other would
Because I can’t give up
But I know I should
