Shouldn't the spelling be nymphaea? The last line jars because of your allusion to "widow", even though widow's peak can be applied to all age groups. It's just that your lovely portrait of a nymph (nymphet) gets a glitch here. There is no creature more removed from all the vicissitudes of age or aging than the inviolate nymphet. Not even one whisper of the ravages of time attends her.
