She snapped

She snapped.

The rope,
Pulled from both ends,
Was too taut
To stay together.

Snapped

Frayed at both ends,
The rope fell to the floor
As her tears fell to the ground.

She was wound too tight

Her energy all used up,
So she shattered
Into a million pieces.

Fragments of her essence
Left in the grass
In front of her
Aunt's house,
She tried to put
Herself back together,

But she isn't whole
She's incomplete.

Now, obsolete.
Malfunctioned
Broken

She snapped
