Inner Colors
If roses are red and violets are blue
You mean as much to me as I do you
You can call it everlasting love
Or a dream come true
Then we'll be together
Us, just the two
But,
What if roses are red and violets are purple?
Never ending would be a 'c' instead of a circle
It all might end,
Because of the colors we show
And our blue would fade away
Love will be our stranger
And our hearts to decay
Maybe colors don't matter
It isn't out that's torn and tattered
It's the inner that isn't always a winner
You could call it racist to the heart
We lose and we gain
But it'll never be the same...
You mean as much to me as I do you
You can call it everlasting love
Or a dream come true
Then we'll be together
Us, just the two
But,
What if roses are red and violets are purple?
Never ending would be a 'c' instead of a circle
It all might end,
Because of the colors we show
And our blue would fade away
Love will be our stranger
And our hearts to decay
Maybe colors don't matter
It isn't out that's torn and tattered
It's the inner that isn't always a winner
You could call it racist to the heart
We lose and we gain
But it'll never be the same...
