Huge desillusion
Politic is not easy when we have just a single desire
To help citizens in hard situation, to build a city for all
Desillusion is huge, when the results are negative
In spite of many hours of work, of public meetings
Of personal implication and face-to-face encounters
Our city is wonderful, a little one near the Saone river
In a large curve of it, a splendid park and a castle
An old commercial center very active, very visited
But many amenagements to plan and to increase
Capacity of industry to reduce unemployment
When you meet people, they agree with your program
And they certify that they will go to vote, only for you
But the day of election, they have many good reasons
Not to go to the vote office and then their votes miss for you
The day after, you meet them in the street and they are
So sad for you, that finally you don't have been elected
"Perhaps, better to be an opposant to the mayor" they said
But your disappointment is huge and they see it, confused
Politic is not easy when we have just a single desire
To help citizens in hard situation, but are they ready for?

Ah, love... I know you wish the best for your city... but people, in general, are lazy... they don't vote, or vote in a manner that will be closest to what they want.., because they believe that what they truly want will never get enough votes... I have seen this happen here so many times... and I always tell them... vote for what you believe... even if they do not win, at least others know they are not alone...

Yes, you are true! Very hard to convince, especially young people who imagines that mayor election is not usefull for their life in the city. And only old people votes for conservative candidate... And the city is congealed in a stunning opposition to progress!!!

Politics......hum bug!! I don't understand them and probably never will. LOL!!! They vote and then realize and think about what they've done. Sorry for your situation. :(

Don't worry for me. Just I am very disappointed by the result while we would have been able to win and to develop this beautiful city, as a lot of people hoped for it.
